Hey, I’m Taylor.
A little
about me.
I’m a wedding & family photographer based in Reno/Tahoe, but willing to travel wherever your story takes me!
My photography is warm + a little romantic, with an outdoorsy, laid back feel. I love a beautiful portrait, but I’m just as interested in the little in between moments that happen along the way. I’ll give you direction so you feel comfortable, but there’s always plenty of room to move around and be yourselves. I want you to love how your photos look and remember exactly how it felt to be there with the people you love.

My little family consists of myself and my husband Travis, Grace and our newest addition, Bridger. And of course our elderly Brittany Spaniel boy, Jax. Grace is 11 and Bridger was born in June, so we’re doing the big kid and baby thing at the same time right now. It’s been real fun (I say that with both sarcasm and honesty)
We’re also self building a house north of Reno, so there’s a lot going on over here! When we get some free time in between baby spit ups, soccer schedules, owner-builder tasks and editing queues, I love getting outside. We are big on exploring new places, upland and big game hunting and off roading in the eastern Sierras. I can make a delicious matcha latte, and have recently picked up a couple grandma hobbies including embroidery and digital scrapbooking.
Becoming a mother has made me really appreciate photos with them, especially now that I’m back in the baby stage. If you’re usually the one taking all the pictures, I’d love to be able to give you the opportunity to be in front of the camera for once ❤️
It has also made me realize how fleeting moments are. Having those big (and small) memories captured is EVERYTHING to me, whether it’s during your wedding day or just because you want to capture how your family looks and feels right now.
WHEN WE WORK TOGETHER
You don’t have to
know how to pose.
I’d describe myself as an introverted extrovert. Awkwardness comes natural to me lol, so if being in front of a camera makes you nervous, I get it. I’ll talk you through what to do. Give you cues and lots of direction. You don’t have to figure all of that out before you show up. That’s my job haha.
I aim to make sessions feel like a glorified hangout session. Lots of candids, with some smiles to the camera too because we all love those at the end of the day (or our moms and grandmas do haha). And if your kids need a little time to warm up, that’s okay. I have kids too and know their moods change by the minute. I follow their lead and make it feel less like a structured, serious session and more like a fun time with their family.
During weddings my goal is to be both a fly on the wall for the moments that don’t need direction, like your first look with your dad, your private vow exchange, or when great aunt Sue breaks it down on the dance floor. But when the time comes where I need to shape the scene, I absolutely will so you get those banger golden hour portraits or you need me to herd your family together for those must have portraits post-ceremony.

What are you
planning?
For weddings, I want you to have time to enjoy the day with everyone who came to celebrate with you. Your job is to be present and have fun, my job is to make sure that happens and you get it documented in a beautiful way. From your first inquiry to your gallery delivery (and hopefully beyond that), I’m here to make your wedding photography experience stress free and fun!
